9'0" Hobie

Vintage 9-foot Hobie surfboard purchased new from Hobie of Dana Point and acquired by the original owner in early spring 1982.

This board has had exceptionally limited use for its age. It was only surfed by the original owner’s son and was used approximately 10–15 times total before being stored for the majority of its life.

Classic red and cream Hobie colorway with original Hobie graphics, single-fin setup, channels just forward of the fin, and original Clark Foam decal still present.

Condition:

Very lightly used for a surfboard of this age and stored for most of its life. The red finish remains bright and glossy and the graphics display very well.

There are light-to-moderate cosmetic scratches/surface swirl marks, some pressure wear on the deck, and minor age/use-related marks visible in the photos. I do not see any obvious major repairs or significant damage, but please review all photos carefully as they are part of the condition description.

The original shaper has not yet been identified, so I am not making a shaper attribution.

This is a great original Southern California Hobie for a vintage surfboard collector, Hobie enthusiast, display collection, or someone looking for a period board with documented ownership history and unusually limited use.
