Hobie’s “Phil Edwards Model” signature series Surfboard - 1990s commemorative shape.

Shaped and signed under the glass by legendary surfer Phil Edwards. #1326 on center stringer.

9’-0” x 22-1/2” x 3-1/8” thick.

Features:

Wood tail block.

3 redwood Stringers. Single Fin Longboard.

Details:

Slight suntan ghosting from an apparent prior deck pad. One small narrow repair at nose.

Some mild pressures on top and bottom.

Some fractures along one stringer appears watertight. Board is in nice clean shape.

Riden only a few times during ownership since 2020.

Backstory:

Phil Edwards shaped boards in the 1960s for Hobie. During a brief reunion with Hobie in the early 90’s he crafted these commemorative shape modern versions of his 1964 model featuring the triple redwood stringer.
