Heinrich won 1st place for the best in show tribute to Wil Jobson a couple years ago at the board room show. This exact board was from the same batch. Very special board from a legendary underground shaper. Brand new perfect condition. Don’t want to sell but I need the money. Price is firm.

All from Heinrich below-
A modern take on a classic design. While maintaining similar attributes to its predecessor, the Mod Fish is a streamlined version with performance surfing in mind. A modern foil with an exaggerated down rail and a fair bit of tail flick behind the fins creates a very responsive feel in the pocket and encourages more aggressive vertical surfing than earlier versions. More curve through the back half of the board, paired with a keel/ upright hybrid create the perfect balance of performance and classic style.
-Beyond that, the “tribute twinzer” slightly varies, especially the more recent, refined versions.
The bottom contours are still true to those of the og twinzers w/subtle single to vee (Think drive on the front foot and turn off the back)
I think of the channels as an efficient way to release water off the tail, and adding the curves helps to loosen it up so it’s not too tracky.
That in combination with the channeled, fanged tail was part of the formula so I figured “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”
-The more recent ones, yours included use more Pavel keel hauler and less classic Lis outline.
A little more streamlined, trying to keep them more performance oriented.
-All of the guys in the works cited are the same hands that built yours, and each one of them would attribute their success to the guy that touched the board before them. From lamination to hot coat, fin lay up, sanding, gloss/ polish, those guys nail it!
(Wade largent is the sander, nobody else finishes a tucked edge like him)
